A Slice of History Bûche de Noël (Yule Log)

The bûche de Noël dates back to pre-19th-century France, where the tradition began with burning Yule logs during winter festivities. This cake not only pays homage to that practice but also symbolizes warmth and togetherness during the holiday season. Typically made from sponge cake rolled with rich chocolate filling, it resembles a log and can be beautifully decorated to capture the essence of Christmas.
