Ingredients

Bread Dough

  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp salt

Chicken Filling

  • 300 g cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast—let sit 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, egg, butter, and salt—knead until smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
  4. Cook onions in oil, add shredded chicken and seasoning — let cool.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle, add chicken filling, and roll like a loaf.
  6. Place on a lined tray—rest 20 minutes.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake at 180°C / 350°F for 25–30 minutes.
  8. Cool slightly before slicing.
